While in the US, Dr. Laz attended the prestigious National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC, an annual event that brings together over 3,000 world leaders from over 140 counties.
Apart from the prayer breakfast, Dr. Laz had numerous meetings with US government officials where they discussed issues to do with the relationship between the US and Malawi, particularly as Malawi prepares for May 21 General Elections.
On his arrival in Lilongwe, Dr. Laz was welcomed by hundreds of MCP supporters, led by the Central Regional Chairman, Hon. Zebron Chilondola, and the National Youth Director, Hon. Richard Chimwendo.
Dr. Laz left for the US after presenting his Presidential nomination papers at a colorful and historic event at COMESS where he delivered the best speech of all candidates.
Dr. Laz is set to win the May 21 election, according to the majority of political analysts and critics in Malawi
